My mom taught me this simple dish with only 2 main ingredients, fish paste and tofu. You can also add in some spring onions and red chilli for colours.
This is a very versatile recipe, can throw in some vegetables like chopped spinach or grated carrots.
Sometimes, I will throw in an egg too. My kids love this dish :-)
If you get bored eating them steamed, you can also cut the steamed fish paste tofu into smaller pieces and pan fry it (not suitable with chopped spinach/grated carrots though).

- Spread the mixture evenly in a bowl.
- Steam for 10 minutes.

Gee... i like this!! I did it with egg and fish paste instead. Will try this nxt week. :)
I have this on my blog too:)
One of the early early ones.
But I don't like to mash it too fine, and prefer clumps, so that the mouth can stil differentiate between the tofu and the fish paste.
Natural light pics again, eh
:)
Good take!!
I made this dish once and I liked it a lot. I added some grated carrot for the colouring.
Thanks for sharing. It reminds me to make this dish again. :-)
This is also something I grew up with. Healthy, isn't it? I love steamed dishes and bakes! Steaming is indeed one of the healthiest methods to cook. =)
